Greetings from the Malacca Port Authority!

As we step into 2025, it gives me great pride to reflect on the remarkable milestones achieved in 2024 and sharing our aspirations for the year ahead. Our unwavering dedication to excellence and innovation continues to position Malacca as a key maritime hub, driving economic growth and fostering connectivity within the region.

In 2024, we successfully embarked on improving Tanjung Bruas Port, enhancing its infrastructure to better serve the growing needs of the shipping and logistics industries. These upgrades include the expansion of berthing facilities, the installation of advanced cargo-handling equipment, and the implementation of digital systems to streamline port operations. These efforts have significantly increased the port’s capacity and efficiency, solidifying its role as a strategic gateway for trade along the Straits of Malacca.

The year 2024 also marked significant progress in cruise tourism development, as we welcomed an increasing number of international cruise liners to Malacca’s shores. Construction works of the Malacca International Cruise Terminal is expected to resume in June 2025 and is slated for completion by end of 2026.

Meanwhile, the resumption of container services marks a major milestone in strengthening Malacca’s position as a key logistics hub. This revival is poised to attract global shipping lines, logistics providers, exporters and importers in search of efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective supply chain solutions. As we move forward, the Malacca Port Authority remains steadfast in our commitment to upholding high environmental standards, ensuring that all cargo handling operations are efficient and reliable, but also environmentally sustainable.

As we chart the course for 2025, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated team, valued partners, and stakeholders who have been instrumental in our journey. Together, we will continue to achieve greater heights, shaping Malacca into a thriving maritime hub that is resilient, sustainable, and future-ready.
